Birthday Cards

Hello Again!!  It’s been a while but I’m back.

A FEW EXCITING THINGS HAVE HAPPENED SINCE MY LAST POST:

FIRST:

One of my cards was published in the Autumn 2016 CardMaker Magazine.  My card is called Hello Fall and it appears on page 74.  I was thrilled to have one of my cards published and the fact that it is in my favorite card-making magazine is just icing on the cake.  A true honor. Check it out if you can.

SECOND:

I finally went to the STAMPAWAY USA convention in Sharonville, Ohio.  For those who may not know, STAMPAWAY is the largest rubber stamping convention in the country held every year in Ohio.  A lot of people attended the convention this year but not so many that it was too cumbersome to shop.  I thoroughly ENJOYED myself.  I met some wonderful new friends and I will hopefully meet up with them at STAMPAWAY again next year.

THIRD:   I made this Birthday card for my Dad:

Making cards for men is always challenging for me because I’m naturally drawn to flowers, I get that from my mother.  So I decided to make my Dad another Stampscapes card for his Birthday this year using a few different stamps to build a new scene.  I love Stampscapes stamps because you can make a variety of different cards just by rearranging the stamps into an endless number of scenes.  That’s him (above) in the row-boat headed to his cabin.  For his Birthday last year I made a more complicated tri-fold Stampscapes card shown below :

FOURTH:

I made this Birthday card for my Great Aunt who just turned 85 years old.

Even though she is 85yo she bowls on a bowling league team and has loved bowling as long as I can remember.  Kudos to her for staying active and not using her age as an excuse to sit at home.  She also swims at the YMCA two days a week.   Go Aunt Ruth!!

If you’d like to know the materials used to make these cards leave me a comment or email and I’d be more than happy to post them.

That’s it for now but below is an EXCITING read from my FAVORITE author!  You can get his book at Amazon e-Books.  You can go right to it by clicking HERE.

 God Bless and Happy Stamping!

  1. Wonderfully creative. I love anything done to encourage my brother but these birthday cards are superior.
