Have you ever envisioned something and then when it came time to execute the plan nothing went right? That’s this card in a “Nutshell”.
I made this card for one of my favorite people in the world who loves Chocolate and vowed to go without it and ALL things sweet for 115 days. A good laugh always makes things seem better even when giving up something you love. Although it’s not funny until it’s over that’s why I waited until he was back on chocolate to give him this card. LOL.
By the time I decided the card was finished it was a 6×6 square card instead of the 5×7 horizontal top-folding card I set out to make. And I had paper-pieced the background and image which I vowed NOT to do but I was so frustrated I did it anyway. The color scheme didn’t go as planned either and I didn’t think it looked quite done but everything I thought of adding was over-the-top or risky and not worth messing up the card for and then, God forbid, having to start all over. So I’ve declared it finished and I think I’m finally pleased with it.
The only things that went according to plan were coloring the image with copic markers (although I needed to do it twice) and changing the “chips” bag and “TV remote” control to a bag of Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups and a box of chocolates (Cadbury in my mind) respectively.
For this card I used the “Lazy Boy” Art Impressions stamp and made the changes noted previously and the sentiment is from Rubbernecker Stamps. Hope he likes it.
God Bless & Happy Stamping!
